Childcare allowance
When it comes to the little ones – the Fresenius childcare allowance
Fresenius supports balancing the priorities of a family and a job with a childcare allowance of EUR 38.35. Eligible employees can even increase the allowance by EUR 30 by using their FlexBenefits Budget. Information on this can be found here.
How it works
Allowance
The actual costs of childcare and meals are subsidized. Childminders (“Tageseltern”) can provide childcare if they are recognised by the State.
Amount of the subsidy
The monthly allowance amounts to EUR 38.35 per child, with a maximum of the total costs being reimbursed. By using the FlexBenefits Budget, you can increase the allowance by a further EUR 30.
Eligibility
All employees of participating companies with children from birth onwards are entitled to the subsidy. Employees in a dormant employment relationship or on parental leave are not entitled. In the event of illness, the allowance will nevertheless continue to be paid if remuneration (continued) payment ceases.
How to apply for the allowance
The allowance can be applied for using this form. It is generally valid for one year (July-June; in Bavaria and Saarland: August-July) and must then be reapplied for.
Tax and social security
The allowance is generally exempt from tax and social security contributions.
